2007 Sport fishing Tournament Rules
Awards will be given for the largest (length) fish caught in the state of
Virginia in each of the following categories:

Bluefish |
| White Marlin |
Croaker |
Blue Marlin |
| Flounder |
Wahoo |
Dolphin |
| Spanish Mackerel |
Cobia |
Sea Bass |
| Red Drum |
Spadefish |
Tautog |
| Spot |
Striped Bass |
Tuna |
Awards will be issued for the largest fish in each category in each of the following areas:
Area 1 Northern Neck
Area 2 Middle
Peninsula
Area 3 Lower Peninsula
Area 4 Tidewater
Area 5 Eastern Shore
Overall largest regardless of area.
The Tabb Justice Memorial Cup will be awarded for the largest fish caught by an angler age 16 and under. (There will only be one Tabb Justice Memorial Cup awarded.)
Any fish eligible in the sport-fishing tournament must be caught, by hook and line, from a boat captained by a member of the Virginia Charter Boat Association while on a charter and departing from a
Virginia port. In case of a tie, the earliest date caught entry will be the winner.
All entry submissions must be postmarked or emailed within 7 days of when the fish was caught.
All fish must be measured by the captain using the State of
Virginia sport fishing rules measurement method. An angler can only receive one award per fish including the youth award.
The deadline for all entries is January 7, 2008
. The Tournament Committee shall make interpretation of these rules. Their decisions are final.
Awards will be presented to the winners and the captains at an awards banquet to be held in 2008

You can submit an entry three different ways:
1. Mail black and white copy citation completely filled out to Bobby Jenkins,

2. E-mail complete information as shown on the black and white citation to Bobby Jenkins at
mrjspleasure@aol.com.
3. Go to the on-line entry form at
www.fishva.org/tournament.html.
4. DO NOT SEND ENTRIES TO ANYONE OTHER THAN BOBBY JENKINS!
When the form is received by Bobby Jenkins your entry information will be recorded and you will receive a reply email within 14 days confirming receipt of your entry. The “entry form received” email will be your entry information as received saying VCBA has received and entered all information. Check to make sure upon receipt that the information is correct and keep this email for your records. If, for any reason, you do not receive an email within 14 days of your entry submittal, email Bobby Jenkins at
mrjspleasure@aol.com.
Entries are submitted to the VCBA web master on the third Monday of the month. If you receive your “entry form received” email
before the third Monday, look for your entry to be added to the VCBA website the 1st of the next month. If you receive your “entry form received” email
after the third Monday, look for your entry to show up the first of the following month.
It is critical that your entry information on the website is complete and correct. This information is used to engrave the award plaques and to contact the winners for the awards banquet. Email Bobby Jenkins at
